In
an effort to assess and determine damages to underground facilities
in Washington DC, the Public Service Commission of the District
of Columbia (Commission) tracks and analyzes trends in underground
damage prevention activities. Data such as the number of notification
tickets issued by the District One Call Center to underground
facility owners to identify, locate and track underground facilities,
responses to notification tickets and total
damages to underground facilities are collected and analyzed
regularly.
Online
Utility Data Submission (OUDS) using the Utility Data Entry Form
is an effective method for collecting data on a periodic basis.
It is available twenty-four hours a day, seven days a week for
use by all utility companies and the One Call Center. All utilities
are required to register with the Commission in order to access
the OUDS system. A username and password will be e-mailed to the
company’s designated personnel.
