The Commission Selects Felix Otiji as Senior Accountant
Felix Otiji
Mr. Felix Otiji successfully competed to fill the Senior Accountant vacancy at the DC Public Service Commission. Mr. Otiji holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting from the University of Maryland, College Park, and a Master of Science degree in Information and Telecommunications Systems from Johns Hopkins University. He has also completed 3 of the 4 sections of the CPA exam.
Mr. Otiji has been employed as a Program Analyst in the Commission for four years. In this position, he analyzed the cost allocation manuals and cost studies for Verizon and Pepco. In addition, he helped audit the District's One Call System, which is designed to prevent damage to underground facilities. Mr. Otiji has also analyzed accounting issues in several rate cases to ensure that District residents receive safe and reliable utility services at reasonable cost. He has participated in a Securities and Exchange Commission field audit of PHI Holdings, Inc., Pepco's parent company. Prior to joining the Commission, Mr. Otiji held several accounting positions with engineering and telecommunication companies.
