Mr. Udeozo Ogbue joined the Commission on October 29, 2007 as the Commission's Chief Engineer. Mr. Ogbue brings over 20 years of experience in the management of generation, transmission, distribution, demand response, conservation and energy efficiency and safety of electric power from nuclear, thermal, hydraulic and renewable energy options. He also brings over 10 years experience in developing and implementing programs to enable public transit agencies to comply with Federal (DOT) and state transportation safety regulations.
Mr. Ogbue was an advisor to the world renowned Energy Efficiency Office of the City of Toronto, Canada. In this capacity, he consulted and advised the Toronto Energy Efficiency Office on Toronto's Sustainable Energy Plan.
Mr. Ogbue's extensive leadership on energy and environmental sustainability projects includes 14 years at Ontario Hydro Electric Power Corporation, where he championed and led the EnerMark Energy Efficiency and Conservation Program and the Thermal Generation By-products Utilization Project.
Mr. Ogbue obtained his P.Eng. from Professional Engineers, Ontario, Canada. He holds a Master of Applied Science degree in Management Sciences (Engineering) from the University of Waterloo, Canada and a Bachelor of Technology degree in Industrial Engineering from Ryerson Polytechnic, Toronto, Canada. Mr. Ogbue is a graduate of the Queen's Executive Program at Queen's University, Kingston, Canada. He also graduated from Ontario Hydro's Nuclear Training Center and obtained his radiation protection certification at Pickering Nuclear Generating Station.
Here at the Commission, Mr. Ogbue brings his extensive experience to bear on programs related to pipeline safety and energy and telecommunications issues.
