Kellie L. Armstead joined the DC Public Service Commission on March 31, 2008, as the Media Relations Specialist in the Office of Consumer Services.

Ms. Armstead earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Broadcast Journalism from Ohio University in Athens, Ohio, and a Masters degree in Public Administration from Northern Illinois University in DeKalb, Illinois.

Prior to joining the Commission, Ms. Armstead served as the Assistant Chief Deputy in the Prince George's County Office of the Register of Wills. She was in charge of public relations and outreach, and responsible for writing and designing the annual report, brochures, newsletters, presentations and coordinating outreach efforts.
